My background stems from not only being an illustration major at Syracuse University but also living and working in the graphic world of T-shirts for over 30 years. My work tends to be influenced by the “straightforwardness” of the art and graphics I have been exposed to in my profession over the years, often limited to amounts of colors and certain space I could use based on the media & platform. I prefer to work with pen, ink, and watercolor depending on the subject matter. Certainly being here for over 15 years has also swayed my creativity and being able to call this place home is pretty special. My love for the mountains and the great outdoors of western NC has really been a large part of not only my drawing and painting, but of my life. It’s even influenced me to start showing art again.
