I have had a long standing fascination with stone, rocks, and glass in any shape and form. It all captures and enthralls me with the colors, textures, translucence and varieties that nature and man creates. Glass, (although a man-made medium) is created from sand and has a character all of its own.
Moving here 2 years ago, I have fallen in love with the mountains of Western North Carolina and have been inspired by the natural beauty all around me. It was an easy transition for me to use these elements to build my art with the materials I have always loved. And leaning towards abstract art I feel it allows the viewer to see what resonates with them when they view the pieces. Each person has their own perceptions.
Starting with art lessons at age 12, then graduating with a BS degree in Graphic Design, I pursued a career as an Art/Creative Director for Fortune 500 companies working with digital images and building retail publications, I have long desired to create something far from the digital world and found my niche using natural elements.
