The monthly gallery stroll throughout downtown Waynesville will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1.
Tour studios, watch art demonstrations and meet a variety of Haywood County creatives while enjoying live music, refreshments, and hors d’oeuvres — with shops staying open late for the evening out.
The Haywood County Arts Council will debut its new exhibit “What’s New?,” with an opening reception from 5-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1.
“What’s New?” features work that illustrates new techniques, materials, and themes being pursued by arts council artists. Artist statements will include a description of what is new and why the artist is experimenting with the new techniques.
The opening reception includes a live music by Haywood Ramblers, hors d’oeuvres from Magnolia Concierge, and a demonstration in cold wax & oil by Tonya Harwood, the new arts council executive director.
The “What’s New?” exhibit runs through Nov. 13 at the Haywood Handmade Gallery at 86 N. Main St., Waynesville.
