I was born in Nashville Tennessee and went through high school there. After college my home became Western North Carolina, and I settled in Lake Junaluska. Being a naturalist at heart, I love working with wood, stone and metal to create wearable art. All my professional life I worked with trees.
My most favored medium to work with is wood because the grain of woods and the variety of colors they display inspire me. So, as the name tells you, I make small wood pieces and Petit Bois Jewelry specializes in earrings and necklaces made of native and exotic woods.
