Patty Felder

Stream Crossing, Oil.

Because “The world is so full of a number of things,” as the children’s rhyme goes—or maybe because she’s unnaturally curious, Patty Felder, living in the mountains of Western North Carolina, has failed to limit the subject matter of her oil paintings. She explores portraits and figurative works, various kinds of animals, landscapes and seascapes and cityscapes, as well as botanicals and still life paintings.

Blessed with the opportunity to experience the beauty of the people and culture of places around the world, she has turned many of her experiences into paintings. Her primary hope is that her paintings will evoke joy and a sense of connection in the viewer.

She credits workshops with wonderful artists such as Jenny Buckner, Dawn Whitelaw, Roger Dale Brown, Mark Boedges, and Michelle Dunaway with helping her develop her skills as an artist.
