I was born in and have lived my whole life in North Carolina.
I began painting and drawing before I was five years old at my little bedroom desk. But school and life happened and I became a Pediatrician and a mother of three and a caretaker for my Down Syndrome brother. But the artist in me has never left me.
I am inspired by the "soul" I see in the eyes of animals and the beauty of our glorious mountains and the places that are our home. I work primarily in oil and sometimes in pastel and watercolor. It's the color that excites me and I love to see color in every day scenes and animals.
