Originally from Maine, Jules Huntsberger spent over a decade in Chicago before landing in western North Carolina in 2011. Jules uses mixed media to craft non-representational abstract works that play with the balance of precision and spontaneity, structure, and fluidity. She uses large graphite sticks, colored pencils, wax crayons, oil pastels, and watercolors to create mysterious organic forms, fragmented landscapes, and narratives that never fully resolve into stories.
