The Haywood County Arts Council will open its newest show “Water” with a reception at 5 p.m. Friday, July 7, in conjunction with Art After Dark art stroll held the first Friday of the month.

With work created by more than 42 local artists inspired by water, this show demonstrates the remarkable talent residing in Western North Carolina. Showcasing work in diverse media such as photography, painting, fiber arts, glass and more, this exhibit has something for everyone.

The reception includes a needle felting demonstration by artist Heidi Bleacher, whose whimsical and enchanting felt sculptures are sure to delight the inner child in all of us.

The exhibit runs through July 31.
