Because I am outdoors most of the day my subjects are what I see around me. While I’m working outside, I am often caught clicking pictures with my phone to be used later in my paintings. I’ve learned that there is beauty in nature in everything we see. Working as a self-taught artist since 2014 I have evolved my style to one of texture and color. Using acrylic on canvas along with mediums such as modeling paste, acrylic gel, heavy body acrylic paint, along with other mixed media, I am able to achieve a dimensional effect that makes the viewer able to reach out and touch the canvas to enjoy both the sight and feel of the art piece. I currently split my time between Maggie valley and Gainesvile, FL, but am working to be here among the mountains I love.
