Evelina Yulianova | Satori Art Studio

I consider myself an explorer of the quiet poetry embedded in everyday life. Satori (悟り), a Japanese Buddhist term for awakening—insight, clarity—guides my practice both artistically and personally. The ensō (円相), a single brush-drawn circle, symbolizes presence, enlightenment, and the beauty of impermanence. These ideas are the foundation of Satori Art Studio.

My artistic journey is deeply rooted in a search for Zen—in both being and creating. Over time, I’ve come to recognize that my work reflects the aesthetic of wabi-sabi (佗寂): the profound beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. I’m drawn to forgotten places, tactile surfaces, fleeting light, and the delicate conversation between nature and the urban world. Through photography, I listen—to spaces, to silence, to change.

To me, beauty is a shift in perception—an altered state of consciousness that reveals itself in the quiet and the overlooked. Time leaves its subtle marks, and I seek to capture those traces: the gentle imprints of presence and passing, of transformation and memory.

Through my work, I invite viewers to slow down, to notice, and to experience the stillness that lives beneath the surface of things.
