While I expected to be an artist growing up, life took me in a different direction. After a few decades in the business world, I missed being creative. I took a simple class in beading and was hooked. Somehow, I realized that it was stone and metal that called to me, and I shifted my focus to the art of chainmaille design. Chainmaille is special, creating order and strength out of chaos (my metaphor for taking little metal rings and weaving them together in a design.) Having moved to Waynesville in 2025, I became enamored of the colors of the Blue Ridge Mountains and am enjoying incorporating them in my designs. I generally use polished aluminum but have worked extensively in precious metals. I love the essence of semi-precious stone and incorporate stone and glass when I can.
