Away We Go, Clay
I'm born and raised in North Carolina. I have drawn pictures and made things since my earliest memories. I am inspired by the nature of the world around me, the outdoors, family dynamics, being a mom, outer space exploration, and the mysteries of this universe. I am currently making with clay because it's not easy for me. It's a challenge, and it pushes me to be a better artist. It smells of the earth. It grounds me the same as standing in a river.
Adding mixed media to some of my art, like collages on the bottoms, or little found objects, helps me tell the story of the work.
