Volunteer of the Month: Nory Lopez
This month, we are excited to recognize Nory Lopez as our Volunteer of the Month! Nory is a dedicated volunteer who lends her time to the gallery multiple times a month. Whether she’s assisting with tasks like stuffing envelopes or encouraging her fellow artist members, Nory’s positive energy shines through. She always welcomes gallery visitors with a friendly smile, making everyone feel at home. Thank you, Nory, for your generosity and unwavering support of the arts community!
Quilt Block Painting
HCAC’s quilt block studio is located at the Folkmoot Friendship Center and is volunteer-run. Our amazing volunteers manage the entire quilt block creation process! Volunteers help outline and paint quilt blocks and other quilt block merchandise sold in the Haywood Handmade Gallery. The studio is typically open a few days a week and volunteers sign up for two hour painting shifts. No experience is required! Come paint and make some new friends.
Gallery Volunteering
Volunteering is perhaps the most important activity anyone can donate to HCAC. Gallery Volunteers keep our gallery open and allow HCAC to promote and sell artist member artwork. HCAC would not be where it is today without many dedicated individuals who give their time by sitting behind our docent desk, selling artwork and promoting HCAC programs.
