Exhibit Description: In conjunction with HCAC’s Cool Jazz concert, the 2025 inaugural exhibit is centered around the concept of “Cool.” This broad theme allows for the exploration of everything from cool temperatures to cool colors.
January 30 to February 2, 2025 Ice Fest Weekend in Haywood County, NC
All are invited to an enchanting winter wonderland at the expanding Ice Fest Weekend in Haywood County, NC, from January 30 to February 2, 2025! This year, the event extends to four days, featuring a newly added Cool Jazz concert at HART Theatre and a 21+ Chill Zone at the Downtown Waynesville Ice Stroll, promising an even more magical experience.
The festivities include mesmerizing live ice carving demonstrations, thrilling ice games, and a variety of vendors at the Maggie Valley Ice Festival. Highlights also include the Penguins in the Pool race and ice skating rink in Canton, the Frosty 5K in Clyde, the Cataloochee Ski Torch Run, and an Interactive Ice Fest Map to guide guests to all the events and showcase the best dining and shopping spots with ice fest themed-specials.

Exhibit Description: Ann Miller Woodford is a versatile professional artist with decades of experience, dedicated to celebrating and revealing the untold life experiences of African Americans and rural people in far western North Carolina through her artworks. She uncovers the hidden life stories of some of the descendants of formerly enslaved African Americans as she works to dispel old stereotypes.
