    The 2008/2009 season of the Junior Appalachian
    Musicians Program (J.A.M.) is quickly approaching.
    Haywood County students, grades 4 through 8 who
    are interested in learning old time mountain music
    are welcome to join. Students may choose to study
    the guitar, banjo, or fiddle from one of our very
    talented instructors. Lessons are held Tuesday
    afternoons from 3:30 to 5:00pm at Central
    Elementary School, and will be starting again in the
    fall.  Registration will begin soon; for more

March High School Scholarships in Visual Arts

The Beaty Merit Scholarships in Visual Arts are being
offered to high school seniors pursing a college degree, or
related study, in visual art.
